The
"Gulf Coast Zydeco Music & Crawfish Festival" is
a festival that presents some of the best Zydeco dance bands
that lower Louisiana has to offer. In addition to the bands
are the Zydeco dancers from around the country and Zydeco
dance instructors ready to teach you how to Zydeco two-step!
That's not all. The great array of food featuring crawfish
and other creole and cajun dishes from a Louisiana. What is
Zydeco music? Zydeco, dance music originated in that state
of Louisiana in the United States. It is similar to cajun
music but more heavily influenced by blues and music from
the West Indies. Fast and bouncy, zydeco uses instruments
such as the accordion, drums, and the washboard. It was popularized
by American singer and accordion player Clifton Chenier, often
called the "king of Zydeco music."
